Interactive Mapping Fun

Want to learn about the area where you live?  Specifically, do you want to learn Census Information that has been gathered?  Well, that is now possible, and pretty easy too.  Just follow THIS LINK to an interactive map published by the New York Times.

Titled “Mapping America: Every City, Every Block” one can gather a wealth of census type information about any area of the united State.  Go to the upper right corner of the screen, type in your zippy code and voila! there is the 2005 data set for a “Census Tract” near you.  It will include an estimated population and the *social fabric* of the area as far as white, black, asian, hispanic and other.

It has been suggested that this is a good tool for people interested in relocating.
