Even on Holidays, work goes on

Christmas Eve, cattle still make waste

Greetings and Merry Christmas to you, dear reader.  It was Christmas Eve, and the phone rang.  “Howdy neighbor, are you busy?”

And thus began another round in the continuing saga of barn cleanup, down where the beef cattle grow.  You might remember two weeks ago how the barns were prepared for the cattle to be shut in during the deep freeze weather that was forecast.  Well, it is milder now, and the cattle are out in the field, but the barn needed attention, and there it is.

And so even as we celebrate the holidays, the fine people that produce our meats have work to attend to.  Even during the Holidays, the work goes on.

May God bless you and yours, and all the farmers.  Happy Birthday, Jesus!
