Huntington’s Ruling Class set to foist LOIT

October 19, 2010

Grab your ankles, Huntington County

the people we have allowed to run our county government need more of your money, and an easy way for them to get it is to boost the “Local Option Income Tax” (LOIT) on YOUR paycheck.  Since they have not figured out how to operate within the county budget, they have decided to increase the county income tax, STEALING that money that you have earned, through income taxes.

But, it ain’t over yet

that is, there is a public meeting, TONIGHT, October 19, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the GAR room in the County Courthouse where the *Ruling Class* will allow the peons err, the people, to offer their opinions on surrendering another portion of their income to the people that have no fiscal restraint.  So, if you would like to keep what you have earned, you have to make a trip down to the court house tonight, and make a speech to the *Ruling Class*, and explain to them that you want to keep what you have earned.  Maybe throw in a little comment about how whenever any government takes money, it takes it out of the economy, and thus makes the economy weaker.

Timing is Suspicious

The timing of this ugly tax increase is stinking suspicious to me.  They want to boost the income tax BEFORE THE ELECTION, almost as if they know that they are not going to be around after the election to STEAL OUR MONEY.   I won’t go into the rumor mill but perhaps you can just imagine the people behind this.

They couch this as a public safety issue

but the truth is that the county budget is what is it, and the county SPENDING must be reduced to fit within the budget.  I hope that all my dear readers will make time to show up tonight, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 7 p.m. and let the county council know your true feelings. And I am sorry for digressing so far from what this blog is supposed to be about, but please join me at the courthouse, and be a part of the solution, so that we can get back to doing what it is that we are supposed to be doing.
