Canning Green Beans

Good morning dear reader!  I hope to share some photos from yesterday with you, later today, showing us in the process of preserving green beans in jars.  Why do they call it *canning* , anyway?

In the meantime, I found this interesting website where they help you find farms where you can pick your own food and learn how to preserve it for the non-growing season.

And while you are out there surfing the internet, perhaps you will stop by and visit with Victoria, as she celebrates National Farmers Market Week .
