Road Construction

July 3, 2010

Greetings, dear reader!  Have you ever been traveling down a main road, and then “BAM!” you’re stuck waiting for an asphalt crew to lay down a new layer of asphalt in your lane while the oncoming traffic just buzzes by?  Well, all is not lost. Here is what we do…

GET OFF THE MAIN ROAD!  Slow down.  View your surroundings.

Herd of cattle in a feed lot

No road crews here

One can almost sense the freshness of the air. No car exhaust here.

Move over- you are in my way

Look at that blue sky

Before I sign off, I would like to point out that the HUNTINGTON TEA PARTY will be sponsoring an INDEPENDENCE DAY BASH from Noon to 4 p.m. on July 04, 2010 at Hier’s Park in Huntington.  There will be colonial period games,  Liberty Dogs, Rebel Popcorn, drinks, marksmanship and safety training at the BB gun range (gun control that the founding fathers would approve of!), educational displays, a dunk tank, and *Patriotic Proclaimers*  like Peter Heck to commemorate American Independence.

You can read all the details

Now go on out and celebrate independence.  Slowly. And safely.
