The Big Chill-Part 2

These are the celery starts that were transplanted on that nice warm day. They may not like nighttime temperatures in the thirties. So this is what I did to keep them happy, and healthy…

Cut an ordinary plastic milk jug, as shown.

Remove the cap and wiggle the milk jug down into the dirt, until it is firmly seated – covering your favorite little tender seedling.
I also placed milk jugs over the parsley seedlings shown here.
By placing these plastic covers over your tender little starts, you may protect them from frost and cold damage.
